The SELFCHECK Urine Infection can help you find out in a few minutes whether your symptoms are due to a urine infection. If you have a positive result, speak with your pharmacist or doctor for treatment.

The SELFCHECK Urine Infection self-test consists of two test strips, each able to monitor three test parameters: protein, nitrites and leucocytes (white blood cells).

Detecting three parameters can give a more sensitive indication of a urine infection than measuring just one or two. If you get a positive result for any one, you should speak with your doctor or pharmacist.

The test strip is dipped into a urine sample and after the result will appear in the form of visual colour changes to the three test pads within minutes.

Contains 2 tests.

Better to know

We want you to be aware that no biomarker, even when checked by your hospital lab, is 100% perfect at diagnosing a specific medical condition. Because of this, a false positive result may cause unnecessary worry and further investigations, whilst a false negative result may give you peace of mind, when actually there may be an underlying condition that requires treatment. Rather than purchasing a self-test kit, you may wish to speak with your NHS GP first, who can arrange for tests if needed.

Make sure that you have considered what a result will mean to you before deciding to test. At SELFCHECK, you can also speak with our health check experts if you need help to use your test or interpret your results.
